One day last summer, a small black kitten wandered into my daughter's classroom.
� Bella teaches adults to get their GED ... and her classroom is on the ground floor of the building. �The kitten stayed in the room all day. When everyone else had gone, Bella (of course) took the kitty home with her...
and eventually named her "Tinkerbelle"

A couple of weeks later, during a weekend visit to our house, that tiny cat had two teeny-tiny kittens of her own!
What happened next still isn't clear (but my other daughter, Wendy, was very much involved) and we now have both of the kittens! Luke and Leia.
And yes....they have brought much pleasure and laughter and joy to our home.
When Luke and Leia were born ... "Star Wars" � � � � had once again infiltrated our world.

Leia has definitely bonded with Nugget ... this is an everyday sight
Leia just loves everybody!
Our poodle, Nugget, welcomed them immediately (after all, he believes he is a cat).
Ming was not as quick with a welcome...but he does at least tolerate Luke and Leia. And once in awhile, we even catch him playing with the kittens.

Of course Ming quits playing as soon as he realizes that we are watching. After all, royalty must never show any real enthusiasm for fun!
Plus, he wouldn't dare stoop to playing with mere lowly alley-cats. �� Often though, we find Ming curled up in his regal bed, with Leia snuggled right in there close to him! �� But Ming likes to let us all know that he is still "King Ming"!

Tinkerbelle is quite happy in her home with Bella,
and we will always be grateful to that brave little cat
for bringing so much more love into our lives.

and for sure, there's always a lot of excitement in our house!
