Hiking & Camping

Part of the group' regular activities are hiking & camping. The Philippines is a natural hiking destination with so many places to go and camp. Among the popular destinations being frequented by the group are those not far from the Metropolis. These include Majayjay Waterfalls in Laguna, Quezon National Park, Pico De Loro in Cavite, Gulugod Baboy in Batangas and Biak na Bato National Park in Bulacan. Hiking and camping are mostly done during weekends and holidays and usually last no more than two days.

Mountain Climbing

The group holds mountain climbs at least twice a year -- a minor and a major one. The country has many good mountains that are accesible and their numbers are still growing with newly discovered peaks. Among those in the group's desitnation list are Mt. Makiling (Laguna), Mt Banahaw (Quezon), Mt. Cristobal (Quezon), Mt. Arayat (Pampanga), Mt Tapulao (Bataan), Mt. Mariveles-Tarak Ridge (Battan),Mt. Halcon (Mindoro), Mt. Pulag (Benguet), Mt. Ugu (NV), Mt. Isarog (Albay), Mt. Napulauan (Benguet), Mt. Guiting-guiting (Romblon) and Mt. Apo (Davao).

Due to the ardous physical nature of this activity, a month-long planning & preparations are done to ensure its success. Climbs are usually held during the December-May period.

Spelunking

Exploring cave systems is another activity the group does. The Philippine has many natural caves that are accessible and usually are being promoted by local governments for tourism. These include the caves in Bulacan, Rizal, Nueva Viscaya, Sagada, Palawan and dozen others located all over the archipelago. The group conducts spelunking at least once a year.

Snorkling & Diving

The Philippine, being an island country, is gifted with beautiful beaches, coral reefs, and bountiful marine life. Although a bit expensive undertaking, the group encourages its members to experience the beauty of the undersea world.
