Kompass Nautica was formed in April 2002 as a terra-aqua activity group committed towards promoting ecotourism adventure and nature appreciation. The group' activities include hiking, camping, mountain climbing, spelunking, snorkling and diving . Membership is made up of like-minded young professionals from Metro Manila who wants to experience the thrill of the outdoor. The group conducted its first activity in May 2002 and since then it has been to many places all over the Philippines conquering mountain peaks, exploring cave systems and discovering the country's natural beauty and diversity.
