How fast the years go by, and like that, you are old and reminiscing about the past and all the great memories that you have accumulated along the way. In actually, years pass by and you grow into the the aches of old age forgetting how it was to enjoy life, and then without knowing, the pains consume your life.... and you forget all the glory that once was...
A sad thought to have lived like this. I know it is not always the case, for most, a reality. I wonder if this if the life that await. I hope that when age sets in, I wont forget to live it like a child. I hope the world will accept an old grumpy man wanting to have his last piece of the pie. And I hope that the ones that follow will realize that everything that was lived up to that point when one generation passes, had a purpose to it all.
Like a house of cards, we sit at the top. Looking up at life with open skies and awaiting the future that is ahead. But without knowing, we soon become the bases of that house and end up at the bottom, looking up at all the new generations that have now replaced us. But I see this house and all the ones that were before me, and as I begin the decent, I know that without the ones before, this little house would have never been. It take all these pieces to come together perfectly... and we forget how important that is sometimes...
