If
I knew a little less, would I be a little happier. Would the taste of water
be as sweet without a cup of fresh morning orange juice before hand? If the
papers didn’t show as much violence as they do, would the walks down
a dark alley seem safer? If these movies showed love as it should be, unconditional
and eternal, would hearts not wander as far and hard? If these pictures I
had of distant lands were only stories in a childhood fantasy book, would
my wings still be so eager to take me away? If the friends had faces on both
sides, would I always be wondering which way to look and which way to speak?
If my eyes could only be a little less clear… If my mind could only
be a little less lucid… If my heart could feel a little less content...
Pleasures of a simple world would be pleasures again. And with a little less,
we find a little more...
