With every nook and cranny that exists, how is that it is so hard to find the excitement in your own back yard.
I love to have visitors in the city. Well, the good kind of visitors, the ones who are easy going and don’t expect too much. Bad isn’t it. Living in a city for 20+ years makes a person somewhat reluctant to the surroundings. Vancouver, a top tourist destination… and what is there to see here? Everything! It’s like someone from Hawaii saying that the beaches suck. Complacency does cause us to just be lazy. To just sit at home. To go to work. To lay around and complain… never to go out and just have fun in your own city. Or see all then things that others ohh and aww about.
With guests, it is always great to make pretend like we are away… like everyone is on this great adventure, but it hasn’t cost us this huge fortune… So, right after the five o clock bell goes off, you get ready, you plan out your day, and you do get excited… You think of where you are going to go. All the things you wanted to do but just put it off because it will always be there. No time where there always is time.
So five o clock now… making out the plans, and going to put on my tourist hat on… Amazing what there is out there as long as you just make to effort to go out and see…. or just wait for visitors give you that push…
