I look back to get a final glimpse at the building I would never return to... at least for something that would involve a 9 to 5. The hugs and handshakes given. The final words and speeches said... and now, all I have is a lonely walk to the car to officially conclude this venture. I feel the moisture in my eyes...
It is so gratifying to be part of something. To build something from scratch. Watch it grow. Watch it succeed. The rewards are beyond anything monetary. It's a sense of satisfaction. You work with these people. You gain trust, respect and friendships. This familiarity. You could do the job in your sleep. You are the sheppard and the flock look on for your guidance. Everyday, this is your life.
The familiarity is broken. All the elements are just elementary. Now, there is just an open road... and to every end, there is a beginning....
