LITTLE THINGS

...the Usual...Kobei...

"The sweet is not as sweet without the bitter...." quote from Vanilla Sky...

Hectic this world is with all its imperfections and drama lined events. The outbound of nervous dispositions and busy bodies wandering in their states of confusion. Too many things. Too many gripes. Too many worries.

After this crazy week (as usual) the weekend is a blessing, only to be taken away by more work. I'm just glad that it has only taken a mere three weeks to transform a simple lifeless bungalow to something of a creation. Well, it's not quite there yet but at least I can start to see some end to it all. I stop to take a breath and relax. More work to come though. This is a house of resurrection, soon to be put up on the market. A play toy for the renovation gods. Do to this, what I can not to my own.

So here the weekend passes. I have worked hard, so naturally...party harder. Bad to say that I cant remember a weekend that I haven't woken up on Sunday with a thumping in my head and a grain on face. Good times.... but through all the wild fuzzy moments, I still search for the tranquility and peace. The simplicity of regular life that does not resemble mediocre boredom. The times in between. Moments that take three hours off the clock and pass by like a child hood you once knew. Through all these things that we plan for ourselves and others, we look to take the baggage off what we do. I sit at a simple table in a simple restaurant with two that I would call "best.." Why these moments count so much? Maybe because they are so meaningless. Maybe because they are so unpredictable and require so little effort. Maybe it's just time well spent. With gloves off and nothing the accomplish, the company can just enjoy the company and fill the air with laughter and constructive conversation to do about nothing... A sip of this and a nibble of that, and poof, the night is over. We retreat back home with our weekend complete.

Monday morning, no talk of the weekend work or of the party. Thinking back, it's the simple times that makes us wish it were Friday afternoon again.....
