They say that the only way to give up a habit it to want to give it up...
Take away the actual things. Take away the sight of the items... or anything that reminds us of the urges... the insatiable urges...
It still comes down to wanting to give it up...
Maybe that's why we so easily distract ourselves from our bad habits. We find other thing to keep us preoccupied. Probably things that are not too good for us... But we pretend that life goes on and that this chapter is closed. No more looking back. We move on with our lives....
And maybe... we forget... We train ourselves to forget a life with bad habits. We no long live in a world where every day finishes with uncertainty of tomorrow....
And maybe, it gets better... maybe... but we have to want to...
