Year 2004 - the year of the Chinese Green Wooden Monkey
It's the lunar new year and yet another passing of the old to the new... or at least what tradition tells us. Funny how when Jan. 1st came and went, I had all these things I wanted to do and all my resolutions to apply. Live this worry free life... but it seems like I had taken a pause on all that... and now, I try to apply them all again today... so lets try it again. I've aired out all the old from last year and cleared my mine. I'll look forward to a prosperous year with wealth, fortune and good health and blah blah blah... I tell myself to do better. Be happier. Relax from time to time. Think of the happy and not dwell on the petty. Focus. Smile. Laugh. And once in a while, cry cuz I just feel like it. But most importantly, remember that fear I live in is just in my head...
Saying all that...superstition to trick myself??... I guess. Anything helps these days...
As the clock passes midnight, I'll see how this first day of the year goes. Better than the last, better that the ones before that... just better... I hope.
