Eugene ( Yusuke Urameshi )
He is troublesome kid who oftens get into different sort of trouble. In the beginning of the series, he died trying to save a child from being overrun by a car.After proving himself worthy,Master Jericho, ruler of the spirit world,give him another chance to live in one condition that he will use his newfound power as a detective of the spirit world. His power is rei gunwhich he uses by channeling and releasing power through his finger.Later,he discover that he is a half human and beast,possesing the same power like his father Raizen,ruler of the evil beast in the netherworld.
The main character ,and basically, the story himself,YuYu Hakusho revolves basically arround him, along with his friends adventure.Trained by his master Genkai (Jeremiah). He has climb up to the top and become the best and strongest of his group.Rei-Kou-Hadou-Ken(spirit-light-wave-ken) is the technique which his master (Genkai)passed unto him.His already immense power was greatly magnified by his adventures and gets tougher and toughter.What keeps him alive is his constant trust and love to his companions, which helps bring out the best in him.
During the fight between Sensui, another spirit world detective handpicked by Koenma (jericho) turned evil.Sensui killed Eugene.Unknowingly that it only resurected the evil blood that flows into eugene's vein.He, after defeating Sensui,found out that he is a decendant of a class S Youkai named Raizen .Raizen also explain to Yusuke how he inherited Youkai(demon) blood.Raizen is dieying because he refuse to eat humans(humans are the source of food and leaving of youkai).After Raizen die, a contest was held which whoever wins will rule Makai.After this,Yusuke returns Nengenkai (human world) to fullfil his promise to Jenny( keiko) and ran a ramen store.
