1) This page is run by grownups, for grownups. That being said, I would like to keep things reasonably tasteful. Nothing gratuitous, folks, and I am the final arbiter of gratuitous.2) Your site must be about or have more than incidental content about your travels in America. No pages just full of links, please. I am looking for pictures, diary entries, pages about museums, cities, notable places, etc. Incidentally, travel means going to a place that you do not live in. So, for example, if you live in New York city, and your page is about New York city, your page (wonderful though it may be) is not a candidate for this ring. If, however, you live in San Francisco, California and your page is about camping in Joshua Tree National Park, (in California) you would be welcome in this ring.
3) Nothing advocating hate or intolerance. Again, I am the final arbiter of this.
4) Your page must be tolerably well designed; no migraine-inducing backgrounds, or any such other misanthropic design feature. You don't have to be a web design whiz (God knows, I'm not), but your page needs to be relatively attractive and easy to look at. In the same vein, your page does not have to be in English, but if it is not in English (or another language which I understand), it must be obvious that your site is about travel, and is a personal (not commercial) site.
5) The ring code must be on the same page as your travel content. No 'Ring pages' or any other such thing. If you have five pages in a site, and only one of them has travel content, put the code on that page. Use your good sense.
6) No commercial sites. This ring is for personal pages only.
