My degree was taken in conjunction with the Pomona College Politics Department. My thesis was written on the evolution of American obscenity law.
While at Claremont, I was a member of the Claremont Colleges Young Democrats Club, and the Claremont Colleges Speech and Debate Union.
Research Assistant, Professor Michael Stein, College of William and Mary Law School (spring 2001): As a research assistant, I am responsible for thoroughly reasearching various legal topics and aiding Professor Stein with his research.NVSLC Summer Legal Fellow working with California Rural Legal Assistance in Modesto, California (summer 2000): In this position, I researched the housing needs of the low income community in stanislaus county, California and wrote a series of papers analyzing those needs and the various policies intended to address them.
Tour Guide, Destination Williamsburg, Williamsburg, Virginia (summer 1999): In this position, I lead guided tours of Colonial Williamsburg, conveying historical information and fielding the questions of the tour group.
Photography Editor, La Semeuse, Scripps College (1996 - 1998): In this position, I was responsible for managing a staff of photographers, layout and editing duties, as well as service on the yearbook Board of Editors.
Contributing Writer, The Student Life, Pomona College (1996 & 1997): As a contributing writer, I was responsible for researching and writing stories for the news, features and opinions sections.
My interests include art history, fifth generation Chinese cinema, photography, and gourmet cooking.
