Toy Camera Photography

****The Amazing Plastic Wonders*******

For some god-forsaken reason, I have become enamored of so-called "toy cameras". They are as sophisticated as a clod of dirt, and are about as well made. Still, I have become very attatched to them. There is something liberating about using a camera that costs less than the film inside it. It frees you to do all sorts of things -- the artistic liberation is wonderful. I own both cameras pictured above. The Holga is a classic toy camera. I just got it, so I don't know much about it, but here is a link to Holga information. The Yellow Mini Camera (pictured above) is a 110 camera. It was my first toy camera. I bought it at a local five-and-dime store for $1. Before I found it, I had never heard of toy cameras. That night, I got on the internet and found out that there are a whole lot of people that share my infatuation with these cheapie cameras.
