Those who think that the only good gangster movies feature are about Italians will know that they are dead wrong when they see this film. Gong Li plays a gangster�s �moll�, a crime boss� kept woman in Shanghai of the early Republic. The film is so lavish, so full and beautiful, that one almost forgets how ruthless some of the characters really are.
