In this book, Breathed pokes fun at the people and events of the 1980s. From Bill the Cat's various insane lifestyle changes (Ack Ptth!), and Opus the Penguin's besieged innocence to the rest of the faddishly insane denizens of Bloom County, Breathed gives an honestly humorous look at life in the 1980s. There is little plot, and the best way to find out about the characters is to read of them.
