"Yesterday, December 7, 1941- a date which will live in infamy- the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by navel and air forces of the Empire of Japan."

  -Franklin D. Roosevelt

This is one of the most famous quotes in American history.  We  may have said it on September 11, the fateful day that started it all.  What Franklin D. Roosevelt said thrusted us into WW2, what President Bush said moved us into a war agianst terrorism. Going to war calmed a furious nation that wanted revenge.  As we watch the war go by, we see terrible things happen like the killing of Daniel Pearl, U.S and Afganys alike, dyeing on a battlefield thats sad and unrealistic.  Now that we have coped with the war and made sacrfices, we seem to know more, as it moves along in time.  In 10, 20, 30 years, young kids will look up and ask you what happened that day?  It is hard to think 30 years from now, what will change because of this.  Will it be good or bad?  Will it change the world to be nicer because we tried to rid the world of terrorism.  Now the campaign is almost over, as it seems.  But here and there a little  skirmish comes about. The war seems a long ways away, but it is close in our hearts. From dusk to dawn, our troops are keeping peace.

"The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallouts."
