As horrible as slavery and sweatshops are, there is no way of getting rid of it. It is a practice that has become so much of a part of our economy and our society that getting rid of them would be devastating. I am not trying to sound selfish by saying, "Keep them open," but the slaves are also somewhat dependant on sweatshops. In countries like China where it is overpopulated, and there are very few job opportunities, they need all the money they can get. There is almost no solution. There are things that could be done, this includes:

• The companies that use sweatshops need to disclose the location of their sweatshops


• The hazardous conditions that the sweatshop workers work in need to be improved


• The workers need more pay so they can support themselves and their families


• The companies need to take responsibility for sweatshops they use


• Workers need to be aware of company benefits and unions
