     Hello, my name is Bob Something, and I am an 8th grader at Somewhere Middle School in Nowheresville Texas. I am writing to express my concern at the problem of child slavery. Thousands of children are forced to work under hazardous conditions, and are mentally and physically abused. They are forced to work for up to 12 hours every day for less than minimum wage. I was really shocked to learn that there are still sweatshops in the United States. I urge you to use all your power to make sure that companies that use sweatshops do the following:

• Make sure that the sweatshops that they work with are made safe and clean
• Have the companies send money to the sweatshops so that the workers have enough money to support themselves and their families
• Have the companies disclose the location of the sweatshops
