"Your welcome, mom," Elise smiled as her mom gave her a big hug.

"I'm so glad to have you as a daughter," her mom whispered in her ear, "Most kids wouldn't help their parents out. But you know I don't have enough money to hire someone to cut the grass so you're going to do it for me. That's so thoughtful. I love you so much."

"I love you too," Elise smiled behind her mom, and then released her, her smile still glowing.

"You going to do it right now?" Her mom asked her.

"Yep, right now," Elise smiled.

"Do you know where she is, Krysta?" Lalaine asked.

"Yeah," Krysta said over the cell phone, "she said she was going to her mom's house. I'll text you the address."

"Thanks! Don't forget the meeting tonight. What time is it gonna be?" Lalaine asked into the phone.

"10." Krysta said back, "What is it about?"

"Don't worry about it, just go," Lalaine said.

"Fine. I just sent the address. I'll talk to you later," Krysta said.

"Alright. Bye," Lalaine made a kissing sound into the phone. She tapped a button on the cell phone and looked at it.

"Here's the address," Lalaine said as she handed the phone over to Danny. He smiled.

"Aight, let's get there then," he said, shifting the gear of the car into drive and pulling out of the alley.

~~~~~~~~~~
"You almost done?" Elise's mom yelled to her across the lawn.
"Yeah, I just have to cut the grass and it'll be done," Elise yelled back. Her mom beamed at her and stepped back into the house. Elise grabbed the cord and pulled it out. With a roar, the lawnmower started up. She held down the automatic button and the lawnmower took off across the grass. She pulled her headphones from around her neck and slid them on her ears. She began to move her head lightly to *Nsync's "Pop."
"Dirty pop..." she laughed as she began to dance and cut the grass. She took no notice of how she was cutting it. A red convertible pulled up in the driveway, driven by Danny, blocking her path to continue cutting. She opened her eyes, and pulled her finger off the automatic button.
"What are you doing?" Elise asked, the lawnmower still blowing. She did not pay attention to where she stopped, and neither did anyone else.
"Turn the lawnmower off!" Francisco yelled over the sound of the lawnmower.
"I'm working!" she screamed back.
"There's a meeting today at 10 in Allen's dormitory!" Danny yelled at her.
"What?!" Elise asked. A clicking noise was coming from the lawnmower, but no one was paying attention. It was imperative that they told her about the meeting.
"A MEETING!" Danny exclaimed louder.
"I can't hear you!" Elise yelled to him. Lalaine finally took notice to the noise.
"ELISE! TURN OFF THE LAWNMOWER!!!!!" she screamed. She was too late. With a crack, the lawnmower tore apart, and a huge silver flash flew out of it at Elise. She opened her mouth to scream, but notice came out. The silver glint tore into the sky, and disappeared from view. The lawnmower's noise stopped abruptly, and Elise seemed to stand in shock.
"Elise?" Aaron asked her. She said nothing. She just stood there, with her mouth open.
"Are you ok?" Francisco asked her. Lalaine had her mouth covered, and a silent tear rolled down her cheek.
"What's wrong with her?" Danny asked Lalaine. A muffled shriek came from Lalaine's mouth as her free hand pointed at where Elise had been. Danny turned back, but Elise was no where to be found. He looked at Francisco and Aaron, who were in the backseat, and saw them both staring under the car. He pushed his head above the door and looked down. With a gag, he looked away. Elise had been split right down the middle, evenly, and her insides were showing as her outsides were on the ground. Danny put the car into reverse, backed out of the driveway, and drove away from the house. Elise's mother came out of the door.
"Elise? Elise! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" she screamed as she noticed her beloved daughter laying on the ground in two. She watched as the red convertible drove away, and fainted inside the house.
