"come on spill shezz" started Matt
"its just what charlie said to me" she gave in and said. "he told me he thought
i was great and that he wanted us to see each other but we couldnt and he never
got round to telling me. Now I'm worried he only said he wanted to see me to
make me feel better"
"s***" was all matt could come out with to begin with. sheryl instantly knew
that matt knew more than he was letting on. "Look" he said, "if i tell you the
situation you got to promise me, you a) wont get mad at him for being so stupid
and b) talk to him about it and tell him you'll support him. Because believe
that will make this situtation loads beter for him"
Sheryl looked puzzled and worried but nodded in agreement before Matt told her
everything. In brief charlie had a one night stand with an ex who now claimed to
be pregnant and his parents expected him to support her and the baby but he
couldnt face up to it and was not willing to believe the baby was his as he was
almost positive he'd used protection.
Sheryl looked over at him with pitty she couldnt believe she'd been so full of
herself asuming the problem was her, not thinkking for a minute he might have
his own problems at the moment.
"MATT, SHERYL!" was suddenly screamed from behind them, sheryl turned to find
Claire beaming down at them. "hey babe" said matt, trying to smile back but
still looking concerned for sheryl. she forced a smile and said "hi claire" as
cheerfull as possible. Claire was Matt's girlfriend the reason gemma who had
gone so long fancying matt now almost hated him. Matt had given gemma the
impression (without meaning to) that she had evedry chance with him.
Sheryl stayed and chatted with them for a bit but soon felt she had out stayed
her welcome so forced her self into hyper mode and ran over to lynsey to join in
with beating james up. Charlie looked over longingly.
When they went inside the record companies building about an hour after they
arrived Fletch briefed the girls on what they were expected to do and just as he
finished and everyone hugged them goodluck "Gottcha" were called. The girls
picked up their stuff and walked in.
The room was large and on the floor were markings showing the girls were to set
the instruments up, they did so then Fletch introced each of them before they
played what they felt to be their best performance yet. The judges did looked
impressed but sheryl knew and so did everyone else only time would tell, in the
mean time sheryl and charlie needed to talk....
