Stepping out of the audition room sheryl felt more nervous than she had going
in. She knew she had to talk to charlie but she had no idea how to start. She
started to walk over to him but before she could even open her mouth he said
"monkey boy tells me he informed you of my situation" nodding over to matt who
was subconsously swinging fromt he door frame.
She nodded after she finally pulled herself out the histerics she was having
about james now having started to hang upside down from matts waist singing "we
monkeys rule coz we make girls druel!"
"in that case dont you think we need to talk?" he added. sheryl knew what to say
after he told her all the story again as he wanted to make sure matt hadnt
twisted it so charlie would get the sympathy vote.
"look" she started "i believe you, so im gonna talk to bex and ask her exaclty
wat shes playing at, wats her number?" Charlie handed her his phone and let her
ring but neither of them were prepared for what was coming....
.... "errm charlie was bex an only child?"
"as far as i knew shezz why?"
"well according to her, her twin sister slept with another member of the band
and pretended to be bex to mess things up for you as she hated you for dumping
bex, even though you're still friends"
charlie didnt look as shell shocked at this as most would of thought.
"well that would explain why she seemed to have PMT twice as long as any other
girl" he said finally "who was it bex's sis slept with though?"
"bex doesnt know, shes gonna find out, but it cant of been matt surely, i mean
he has claire." sheryl said
"yeah but hes been acting oddly recently especially when claires around, look
he's being off with her now!" charlie said spinning round to look at matt who
was now behaving like a yr7 boy who didnt want to sit next to a girl in
regestration. whilst claire tried to speak to him"
Sheryl bit her lip. Charlie noticed she was looking worried and understood
imediatley, she and claire had become really good friends and she knew she would
get hurt but didnt want to take sides coz matt was like an older brother to her
when she had a situation that needed talking through. Charlie put his arm round
her as they sat down "they'll be fine, they've got through worse... i think" he
said. This made sheryl smile at his pure dimness and as she turned to say thank
you to him for being so great to her, he leaned in and kissed passionatly on the
lips.
The room went silent, everyone was staring at charlie and Sheryl.
"Sheryl you lucky cow" piped up emily
sheryl laughed and hugged her "wheres your little sis gone?"
"i errr dunno actuallly"
"LAURA!" screamed sheryl
"well someones back to normal muttered gemma
laura came running round the corner looked rather ruffled. "yes?" she said when
she got her breath back
"where have you been?" sheryl asked looking suspicous
"just outside getting some fresh "laura answered quickly
"since when was james' breath 'fresh air'?" matt asked
"wat?" emily said looking annoyed
"i saw with her tongue down jb's throat" laughed matt.
"OMG" screamed gemma, "who do i get to snog?"
"same here" said emily
at this point two young lads from another new group at the scouting fair walked
by and before you could say 'kiss me quick' emily and gemma were gone.
Fletch ran after them muttering "teenage girls!"
Charlie hinted to sheryl that this may be a good time to speak to matt about
their suspicions. With a sigh she walked over to him and asked claire if she
could borrow him, after the usual joke of "why what are you gonna do to him" she
walked over to charlie to wind him up for being embaressed about kissing sheryl.
"so wats up kiddo?" asked matt sitting down on the step outside next to sheryl
"dont joke matt, this is serious. Have you slept with anyone whilst seeing
claire?"
Matt instantly looked guilty and nodded "im not gonna lie to you shezz, about 3
weeks ago, the same sorta time as bex and charlie i had a fling with bex's twin,
but what made you ask?"
"it wasnt bex who got pregant matt." was all sheryl said and matt slowly started
to sob. she put her arm around him and told him that claire, bex and her sis,
charlie and her had to sit down and talk this out. She made it sound so simple
but she knew it wouldnt be easy!
