I laughed at the note, crumpled it up and decided to invite one of my friends,
Greg over. I picked up the phone, remembering Gregs code name, and waited for
some one to answer. Gregs parents gave Greg a code name, so that his family
knew if a fan was calling or not. A young girl answered, Hello? I sighed, Is
Eddie there?
The girl relied, No, sorry, there is no Debbie here.
I silently laughed and repeated, Eddie. Is Eddie there?
I knew it had to be one of Gregs younger sisters. Suddenly, a more mature, male
voice came on the phone, Talk to me. It was Greg. I replied, Hey Greg, its
Jesse.
Oh, hey! Whats up?
Not much, do you want to come over?
Sure. I have to wrap your gift first. Ill see you in fifteen. He hung up
after I said bye, then I hung up. I sighed, thinking, I wonder what Kelseys
doing right now. She was probably still out, picking out my birthday gift.
Buying each other gifts had gotten harder than the year before, or so Kelsey had
said. I didnt know what she was getting me and for once, I knew I wasnt going
to be surprised if I didnt get what I wanted. I had told her to surprise me and
I was concerned if Kelsey was going to stress out over this.
