I turned around and ran out of the mall then down the street. I slowed down and
said, Gotta call dad. I pulled my cell phone out of my purse and pressed the
number eight; my dads speed dial for his cell phone. I waited for him to answer
and once he did, I asked him to pick me up. I sat down on the bench and said to
myself aloud, I have to find every single tape that my mom has that has Jesse
and me together. From the day we both met. I dazed off into thought and waited
for my dad to arrive. Minutes later, I heard a car horn honking. I snapped out
of my daze and stood up to get into my dads car. We drove home and I
immediately went to my mother and asked her for all the tapes of Jesse and me.
She showed me into her office where there were over thirty small tapes filled
with films of Jesse and me. She handed me half of them, and said, There you go.
Is it for Jesses birthday? I nodded and said, Thanks mom! I took all the
tapes up to my room, grabbing the video camera !
and cords so I could record the clips that I wanted to a VHS tape. I set all the
tapes down in front of my TV and grabbed a blank tape out of my closet. I slid
it into the VCR and hooked up the video camera to the TV. Placing the first
small tape in the tape compartment, I waited for a picture to load. Suddenly, a
scene of Jesse and I playing in the sand box in my back yard popped up. We
couldnt have been more than three years old. I smiled and finished watching the
clip.
