As my dad drove away from the mall, I stalled on going into the mall. I took my cell phone out and searched for Jesse's cell number in the phone book. I pressed the send button and waited for him to answer. Seconds later, he answered, "Holy cow! I just had the most embarrassing moment of my family life." I laughed and told him to spill the details. He explained and I couldn't help to laugh. He finally said, "It really wasn't that funny."
"Sorry, What do you want for your birthday?" I asked in wonder. He paused for the longest time and finally he said, "I don't know. Surprise me!"
"Okay, I'll surprise you! I'll see you later!" He said goodbye and I hung up. I finally walked into the mall, unsure of what to get him. Last year I had gotten him a baseball hat and the year before that I had gotten a photo album filled with pictures of him and me, from the time we were babies till earlier that year. What I had gotten him the year before that, I had no clue. I walked through the store, unsure of which shop to go into. I was so unsure of what to get him. It had to be something very special because it was his sixteenth birthday. His Sweet Sixteen! My birthday was only a month away. I passed a video shop, glancing at the video display. I stopped in mid step. I smiled and said, "That's it!"
