I took a deep breath in of the freshly made batch of pancakes that were sitting on the table. I walked over to the table where my older brother, Blake was seated, helping himself to three pancakes and cracking jokes; my older sister, Aaron, was there also, she was reading a Shakespeare novel and carefully eating her pancakes. My mom was reading the home and garden section of the paper, while my dad had the sports section. I took a seat next to my sister and said, "Mom, tomorrow is Jesse's party, we are invited." My mother only nodded and Blake joked, "How old is he now? Seven?" I rolled my eyes and argued, "He's sixteen for your four-one-one! You are the only seven year old I see around here!" I knew he was only joking, but still, I had to stick up for my friend. Aaron only finished our argument, "Shan't thou know already that thou both sound so juvenile when arguing?" My brother laughed and repeated, "Shan't thou know already that thou both sound so juvenile when arguing?" I sighed and said, "I'm gonna go to the mall, dad will you drive me?" My father only nodded as my mother had done earlier. I tapped his shoulder and said, "Will you drive me to the mall daddy?" He looked away from the paper and said, "Yes, are you ready?" I nodded and answered, "I only have to get my purse and cell phone." Blake asked, "Why do you have to go to the mall anyways?" I replied, becoming annoyed by the minute, "I have to buy Jesse a gift for his birthday." I walked away, hearing Aaron reciting a famous quote, "Romeo, Romeo, where for art thou Romeo?"
