In Praise of Knights

Virtues
Knights
Above all, a knight must keep the oath which he has taken to his lord. A knight is not true, who through fear of death or any other reason, fails to defend his lord's land; indeed, he is a traitor. A knight must obey his lord, the captain of the host, and if he does not do so, he is not a worthy knight, but is arrogant and insolent. A knight should devote himself to gaining skills in arms, and fighting for his lord. He must always obey his lord's commands, and if he does not, he must lose his head.
