THE KNIGHTS OF LITHUANIA

Anthracite Council -- 144

About the Council:

Council 144 was chartered March 6, 1977. We currently have about 200 members and are part of the Amber District of the National Knights of Lithuania. We operate a Lithuanian Museum and Cultural Center in Frackville, PA and sponsor the Annual Lithuanian Days, the longest continuous ethnic celebration and our major fundraiser, due to be held on August 15 & 16, 2009. View a few photos from previous celebrations.

This website offers you links to our committees, links to geneology sites, and links to sites of general interest for Lithuanians.

About Lithuanian Days:
The theme of our 95th Annual Lithuanian Days is Lithuanian Wayside Shrines and Hill of Crosses. This year's fundraiser features delicious Lithuanian food, arts and crafts, dancers, Lithuanian Partisan Re-enactors, musicians and a beautiful Lithuanian Heritage display. Please see our tentative 2009 agenda and driving directions. Browse a few photos from previous years.
Our meetings are held the last Sunday of each month. Contact Larry Domalakes: [email protected] for more information on membership benefits and our council activities.
