One of the most exotic miracles, eastern faiths have their own version of it called Seeing the Imbalance. After praying, or meditating, for the miracle, the Blessed character is allowed to see momentarily how much his area is shrouded in shadow. For lack of a better term, he sees the strength of fear around him as shadows in his vision, but only for a second.
In game terms, the player is secretly shown a chip by the Marshal and the color of the chip can inform the player, and the character, how much fear dominates the area he is in. A blue chip would mean that there are very few shadows dominating the landscape, very little imbalance; a red chip means that the shadows are healthy and spread out, a gray haze momentarily blocks the Blessed's vision; a white chip would mean that the Blessed momentarily sees the world shrouded in darkness, the imbalance of the world around him is strong.
