My Religion.
I thought that I should talk about my religion since it has become such a major part in my life. I am a Christian. I became saved on October 21, 2001. For me, it has been a long journey. There have been different issues that I have had to deal with, but I am still going strong in my faith. A major factor in my decision is all of my friends here on campus. They have helped me and supported me as I head down this journey. Throughout this journey, I have had some struggles, but with the help of my friends and with my faith in God, I have persevered. Just because you are a Christian, that does not mean that your life is simple. You still struggle just like everyone else, but you grow stronger and closer to God in the process. Along with growing with God, a major part of that is prayer. Before you make it a daily habit, you do not realize how much good it really does. You are also unaware of how important it really becomes in your daily routine. Prayer has become a major part of life along with so many other aspects of the Christian faith. Here shortly, I hope to be baptized. That way, I can let others know about my decission to be a child of God.

If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passes away and all is made new. II Corinthians 5:17

I am involved in different groups here on campus that help me in my faith. I am part of the Women's Bible Study that is here on campus. We meet once a week and talk about a lot of different things. Another activity that I am involved in is Campus Fellowship. Every Sunday night, we get together to sing praise songs, learn about God, and to have fun. Fellowship also sponsors other activities that you can participate in throughout the year. Fellowship is connected with a group called Campus Crusade. Through Crusade, there are opportunities to go on different trips to help people out and to talk about our faith and religion. Also, a major part of my life this year is the F.R.O.G.S. House. It is a new house that was started by me and 5 other friends on my college campus. I will provide a link to that so you can learn more about the house and what we intend on doing next year.

Besides the activities on campus that I am involved in, I also spend a lot of time with friends just talking about religion and faith. There are times that we get together and just have different talks about what is going on, and what we think might happen. Some talks are very indepth, while others are more average conversations. Once you start having converstains like this, a lot things that you used to talk about do not seem as important anymore. My roommate, Liz, and I talk about religion. I have also started listening to different Christian groups. Some of my favorite artists include FFH, Caedmon's Call, Audio Adrenaline, and Bob Carlisle. I have also been reading some books that deal with Christianity. The one that I am currently reading is called Pierced By a Sword. I am also going to be starting the Left Behind series here shortly.

Here are some links that I hope you will enjoy. The F.R.O.G.S. link is more about me and some of my friends here on campus. There is another link that takes you to a chat room, and one that talks about some more information. I recommend that you check them all out.
