The ancient Appalachian Mountains began forming nearly 500 million years ago. Four different events brought the Appalachians to their present structure today. This website intends to discover the physical and historical geology of the Appalachian Mountains near Cleveland, Tennessee, and to present information about the 2006 Appalachian Geology Whitewater Rafting Trip.
