Cast
The cast for this camp film is what you would expect, actors that you have most likely never seen before and will never see again ( unless you keep up with b-film stars). John Vernon (Officer Mooney) has been in many films, including Animal House, so you may have seen him before. John Allen Nelson (Dave) was actually on Baywatch for a while. Suzanne Snyder has actually starred in a couple of notable films. She was in the John Hughes classic, Weird Science, and a decent horror film called Return of the Living Dead Part II.

Grant Cramer as Mike [filmography]
He has a hard time trying to prove the truth of his encounter with the klowns to the police, and to make his situation even worse, one of the cops is Debbie's ex-boyfriend. Since Mike is Debbie's current boyfriend, he spends the first half of the movie worrying that Dave (the ex) will drive him to a secluded spot and beat him senseless with his nightstick. Will he ever convince Dave of the unbelievably bizarre truth?

Suzanne Snyder as Debbie [filmography]
Debbie has the worse possible phobia given her current situation. You guessed it, clown phobia! She tells the story of how a childhood visit to the circus traumatized her for life and was the cause of her red-nose phobia (this scene is from the tv version only, see ontv). Many of her lines in the movie are exposition, since dim-witted Mike doesn't realize the definite danger in a few scenes. Namely, when they are snooping around the spaceship and Mike's talking loud enough that the klowns in the next galaxy can hear him. Later in the movie, the klowns abduct her by taking her away in a giant balloon. Will Mike burst the klowns' bubble by rescuing her?

John Allen Nelson as Dave [filmography]
Dave is one of only two policemen in Crescent Cove (appararently all the police force that a small college town needs). He is reluctant to believe the story of cotton-candy coccoons and popcorn guns, but since Debbie --his ex-girlfriend for whom he still has feelings-- is involved, he's willing to look into it further. Mike leads him to where the spaceship supposedly was, but finds nothing but a hole. Thinking the story was all an elaborate joke, he handcuffs Mike and places him under arrest. But when Dave finds pink fiber and witnesses a klown kill a group of people with a shadow puppet, he lets Mike free and joins in the attempt to stop the red-nosed menace. Later, he is confronted by a klown in the police station which he empties five rounds into at point blank range, but with no effect! Will Dave, faced with the apparent invulnerability of the klown, discover a way to destroy it?

John Vernon as Mooney [filmography]
He is the only other policeman in Crescent Cove and the archenemy of the average, funloving college student, as he believes the "punks" are ruining the town. His hobbies include reading Gun and Ammo, drinking Jack Daniels while on duty, and arresting the local college kids for public intoxication. He ignores all the calls about killer clowns, believing the whole town is in on a plot to drive him out of the police force. Will this dummy realize the truth before it's too late?

Peter Licassi & Michael Siegel as the Terenzi Brothers
[filmography of Licassi | filmography of Siegel]
The comic relief of the movie, these guys have the following two purposes in life: to sell ice cream and to get laid. Actually, they started selling ice cream because they thought it would be a good way to meet chicks. Eventually, these goofs do hook up with two babes... klown babes with growing breasts! Will they tear themselves away from the expanding klown melons in time to save Debbie, Mike, and Dave from an angry klown mob?
