My Testimony

And the Angels rejoiced.

My Name is Karen . I was born in 1970 to a loving Christian Home. My Father has been an ordained minister for over fifty years.

.

I was saved at home at the age of twelve. I have been a Christian for nearly 22 years. I was saved one night in August as I lay in bed. I was praying as only a twelve year old child knows how to pray, straight from my heart. I did all I knew to do and then a scripture came to my mind "I remembered his word" about where even the angels in heaven rejoice over one sinner that repenteth.

All of a sudden I could just picture the angels in heaven rejoicing over my prayer! I was so overwhelmed with the greatest love and peace I have ever felt. That peace and love is still with me. That is Jesus. He lives in me now. I have a home in heaven because of this sweet savior that passed my way and had love and compassion for me. The one who paid a great price for my sins. He loves everyone and it isn't his will that any should perish but that all would come to repentance.

I have strayed away from God before. I left him but he didn't leave me. His promises are true. He said he would never leave or forsake us. I got so low once that I felt so unworthy to be able to work for him but I asked if he still had a work for me to do that he would send me an Angel. There was a knock on my door the next morning. It was a preacher and a member of the church I belonged to. He was a messenger. He was my angel that day. An answer to my prayer.

I had to repent and I got back in church. It wasn't easy getting back to where I once felt I was but I was determined.

It was about this time I felt a strong calling for mission work. I loved to read missionary's accounts from overseas. My heart was with them. I was willing to go and wanted to go. I was ready to give my life if need be. My mission work would come, but not as I had thought. I didn't go to Papua New Guinea as I thought I would. I married a minister. My Husband and my children are a blessing and an answer to prayer. I was blessed twice to have been able to teach children in Sunday school. I have been blessed to see some of these children saved.

I have found much mission work to do right here from my home.

God has blessed me with a daily email ministry called "daily bread" which has  grown over  the years. He has given me poems to write. He has used me to help others in need. My greatest passion is children's projects. One of my favorite is "Operation Christmas child" where shoe boxes are filled with gifts for children in over 95 countries. Our family has participated in this project since 1998. We now do over 100 boxes a year and serve as this area's prayer team coordinator for the project. Some of our prayer team pages are found here also . I hope you will take the time to look at our Operation Christmas child link on our home page.

We have heard back from children in Belarus , Grenada, Burkina Faso , Zimbabwe, Madagascar, and Namibia Africa who have received our boxes.

This was a great blessing so I did become a missionary. I have reached others in foreign lands but not in the way I first imagined.

God has blessed my life and continues to bless.

I pray if you read this and you don't know my Jesus that you will seek him.

He is the greatest friend you will ever have.

May God bless you!

-Karen
