In the
arms of an Angel
A true experience.

When I was a child in
Middle school around the age of twelve or thirteen. Our Sixth grade class took a
field trip. Our destination was to be a Cherokee Indian Village in Cherokee
North Carolina.
Everything went fine until we were crossing the mountain, almost into Cherokee.
The unthinkable happened. Our bus, loaded with school kids and several teachers,
lost it's brakes on the mountain. There was one bus load ahead of us and one
behind.
We started going around the mountainous curves at dangerous speeds. The bus
driver called a mayday on the CB and passed the bus in front of us. It was then
that one of our teachers asked us all to get down in the floor upon our knees
and put our head down upon the seat.
Sensing
the danger and being raised to always put my trust in God and believing in
prayer, as I had already been saved at the time, I felt it was a perfect
opportunity to pray. I also felt it very needful. I asked God to keep us safe if
that was his will and to please help us..that's when the bus hit a bank, flipped
and started sliding..toward a drop off.
When the bus started flipping (they said it flipped three times) all I can
describe to you is this:I seemed to be held in an embrace by arms I could not
see. I seemed to be suspended in the aisle and I could see the bus turning over
and things being tossed from the overhead racks. I could hear screams but I was
totally almsot a spectator to it
all. I felt calm. I felt I was floating. That is the best I can describe it.
When the bus stopped sliding. I never remember landing or falling down hard. I
was lying on my stomach. Completely unhurt. My friend beside me had been thrown
up into the overhead rack but was fine, just shaken. A girl on the other side of
me landed face down in glass but had no cuts on her. One girl had panicked and
tried to climb out the window. The bus landed on her leg. She was on crutches
for a while but completely
recovered. It was a miracle she lived and that she didn't lose her leg.
One boy
suffered a cut on the head and one suffered a broken back but walked from the
bus, he too recovered. No lives were lost that day. The cops on the scene said
that "something stopped this bus" he said "this could have been a tragedy." My
dad and
brother later had a chance to walk through the twisted remains of the bus and
said that someone who didn't know better, would have thought no one could have
survived being in the bus.
How many Angels were there that day, I don't know. I feel there was an angel
there holding me. That is the only way I can explain it. The cop seemed to think
that something greater than us stopped the bus from going off into the ravine
that day. I know that God heard my prayer. I know he was with me that day. To be
so calm and in a peaceful estate as I felt I was while this was happening only
reminds me of what the psalmist wrote" yea, though I walk through the valley of
the shadow of death, I will fear no Evil for thou art with me. "He will always
be there.

May God bless you is my prayer!

A walk on
the beach with Jesus.

I Would like to submit this
true testimony of an experience I had a few years ago while On vacation in North
Myrtle Beach.
We had all went back inside to our condo. The kid's were sleepy and Ken was
tired. I wanted to go for a walk on the beach. I told Ken where I was going and
I silently asked the Lord to join me for a stroll along the shore.
I always feel God so close in nature and in his creations. The ocean is a
beautiful creation of God, as are all of his creations. I had the desire to feel
his presence near me as I walked. That should always be our desire. I walked
down to the beach and just picturing the Lord walking beside me all the way. I
thanked him for letting me be able to see the beauty of the beach and the ocean.
We just had a very good talk, the Lord and I. I walked for a good while and then
turned around and headed back to the condo. On my way back up the beach, right
before I would leave the shore I noticed up ahead of me a large writing in the
sand. I was curios and walked up to see what someone had wrote.
There
was a name in the sand that I will never forget. The name was JESUS. Who wrote
it? I don't know. I do know why it was there, It was there for me, from my
loving friend whom I had invited along on my walk that day.
We have
often seen people write in the sand their name, to show they have been there.
Jesus did the same for me that day. He was there as he always will be. You will
never walk alone.

May God
bless you is our prayer!-Karen
