| Introduction: The purpose of today's activities is to review the new knowledge they have obtained in order to prepare for their final projects. Objectives: * The learners will access the following websites and review them. * The learners will complete activities on the websites. * The learners will complete a Cloze Passage Review. Main Activity (Group): * Learners will review the following websites and complete the activities on each site: Galaxy H www.galaxy-h.gov.uk/health_check.html KidsHealth for Kids www.kidshealth.org/kid/ill_injure/sick/flu.html Medline Plus http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/tutorials/influenza/id439101.html Find the Germs www.jayzeebear.com/display/magnify/index_tito.html Infection Dectection www.amnh.org/nationalcenter/infection/index.html Extended Learning (Individual): The learners will complete the Cloze Passage Review in order to review what they have learned and to determine what other areas they may need to research for resolution of the problem. The Close Passage Review is located under Files in the Germ Team Forum. The learners will save the Close Passage Review to their individual folders in the Germ Team Forum. After completing the Cloze Passage, the teacher will initiate a group discussion. The learners will carry the discussion and the teacher will prompt as necessary.
