Let's Observe!
Objectives:
* The learners will observe students in the restrooms, at lunch, and on the playground and document their findings using an Observation Log.
* The learners will input their research data into the Observation Log Database located under Databases in the Germ Team Forum.
* The learners will compare and contrast the data compiled and entered into the Observation Log by their group members.
* The learners will post the findings from their observation data in their Individual folders in the Germ Team Forum.
* The learners will reflect and type their reflection in their Journal in the Germ Team Forum.

Main Activity (Individual):
* Each learner will print the Observation Log that is located under Files in the Germ Team Forum.
* Spend the day randomly observing students while on restroom breaks, during lunch and breakfast, and while outside on the playground.
* Go to the Germ Team Forum and enter your data into the Observation Log that is located under Databases.
* Compare all of the information that has been entered by all groups and compile the data.
* Post the results from the data in your individual folders in the Germ Team Forum.

Extended Learning:
The learners will review and analyze the data entered into the Database by their classmates and report their findings by posting it in their individual folders.

Closing Activity:
In your journal, reflect on your experiences of the day.

Introduction:
The purpose of today's activity is to allow the learners to witness firsthand how germs are spread. Students will get to observe habits of to determine of any of them could lead to the spread of illnesses like Influenza. Learners may complete research today if needed. Self-Rating Scales should be used and posted as in the previous activities.
