How I Got Started
My parents got me into skiing when I was about 5 years old. My dad would ski down the mountain right behind me and hold me up so I didn't fall. I continued skiing all the way up until the winter of 1999, when I joined the Cinnaminson High School Ski Club. One of my friends who was going on the first ski trip with me had recently started snowboarding and convinced me to try it. I immediately decided that from then on, I would continue to snowboard instead of ski. Since starting to snowboard almost 7 seasons ago, I have only skiied once.
Trips
Since 1999, when I began snowboarding, I have snowboarded at every major ski resort in the Poconos. I have been a season pass holder for Blue Mountain, which is in Palmerton,PA, for the last 2 seasons and again this season. I have been on multiple trips to Vermont and I am going again, leaving December 17 and staying for the week. Also this season in March, I will going out to Park City Utah to snowboard. This is the same mountain that hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
