The world famous Boeing Factory is only about 1.5 hours drive from here in Abbotsford so we ventured down to Everett north of the city of Seattle.

The tour starts with a time-lapse video that compresses a plane's normal 6 to 11 month production time into just a few minutes.
Next, perched on a balcony above the manufacturing floor, we watched planes move through the seven stages of production, from cone to tail.

No bags, backpacks, beepers, cameras, cell phones, infants in carriers or notepads are allowed on the tour, this isn't because they have any big secrets, but because the odd person once dropped his camera on a worker and that can only mean one thing in America - A Huge Law Suit! |
