April,9,.03

So its been a year since I stuttered out that revelation.  It truly helps you to have a mission statement like the above to propell yourself into the next post 9/11, sars stricken pre-apocolypse globally warmed day.
I've made a lot of progress this year in self-appreciation, communicating, managing my time and focusing on the larger issues rather than dwelling on what might have been.

I find however, that far too often I'm forced to question wether or not i'm alone in my quest for passion, something i've realized to be of utmost neccecity in order to suceed honorably in the history of all humanity Ultimately the only true treasure that all of humanity shares and may leave behind, is our history. We have woven in tapestry, carved on ceramic and glass vessels and cast in gold and silver, the long wearing remnants of our evolutionary roller coaster of construction, deconstruction and reconstruction. Because material art has such historical significance in helping to remind us of who we really are as people of the earth, i have chosen it to be the area of study at
OCAD where i go to school.

Let the revolution begin.
Background:
Who I am:  University Student, Female, Sexual, Comitted.  Guilty pleasures include colour, velvet, cut flowers, girls who chuckle, irish ale, internet access. Itchy irritants include: hang nails, people who don't know the value of the golden rule (it applies no matter what religion/non-religion with which you relate yourself), arrogance in large doses (political as well as personal), dry skin, cruelty in any form that can be bypassed, waste.
Foreground:
How I plan to take on (not over) the world: I hereby pledge to live in the least detremental way to both nature, culture and myself.  I aspire to educate others on the advantages of alternative and simple living. I aspire to involve myself in activities which benefit others and the quality of life for everyone. I will separate myself from the clutches of a misguided media landscape in search of truth. I will also denote my findings and any other pertinant info to the public via this website.

So this is the admittedly, ambitious purpose for this website.  May it prove how simple it can be to live on your own terms!

So our show went exceedingly well, it seems like a million years ago now.  I hope to post the group's photo soon.  I have chosen to major in the area of jewellery and silversmithing which is what my body of thesis work will be fabricated in, in the 2004/2005 school year.  So now i'm working like a maniac to try and get as many studio courses and therefore as much practice as I can before that foreboding dateline.
Since the fall, when i moved out of living quarters with my now ex-boyfreind, my everchanging parade of male roommates and their thirty-odd inambitious freinds i have been able to cut down on my own Co2 emmissions a bit.  I ride my bike to work and school now most days and also hang dry all my clothes on a rack in my room rather than drying them in the machine.  I'm still a meat eater and i've got my vices, but one by one they're going by the wayside. No new updates on the
bloodthirsty project yet, i've making too many excuses as it is to squeak by in my four studio courses this semester.
Anyhoo... more to come as always. -KDH
