Angel is the daughter of Rose Lomavaya and the granddaughter of Alice and Edgar Monetathchi Sr. She is the great-granddaughter of Rosie Hall Zotigh, Edward Hummingbird, Lucy Whitehorse Beaver, and Louise Whitehorse Hall. Her great-great-grandparents are Harry Hall Zotigh, Kau-koe Belle Hall Zotigh, and Maunkaugoodle Mabel Hummingbird. She is a direct descendent of Setangya.

While Kiowa Princess, Angel was a sophomore and junior at Elgin High School. She was a member of the Oklahoma Gourd Dance Club, the Lawton Intertribal Youth Dancers, the EHS Indian Heritage Club (President 2001-2003), the EHS Art Club, the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America, and was a American Red Cross Code Red Youth Volunteer. Her honors included Who's Who Among American High School Students, the National Honor Roll, Letter "E" in Art (1999), Letter "E" in Keyboarding (2001), and Letter "E" in Native American Studies (2001, 2003). She started dancing when she was three years old and held the titles of Elgin High School Indian Heritage Club Princess and Stony Point Indian Club Princess before running for Kiowa Princess.

Angel graduated from Elgin High School in May 2003 and is now a student at Cameron University in Lawton, OK working toward a major in business and finance.

I'd like to thank everyone for the love and support I received during my reign. It was a great honor for me to represent my Kiowa people.
