In April 1775, British soldiers stationed in Boston were despatched to Lexington and Concord. These soldiers were ordered to confiscate gunpowder from the belligerent colonists, and capture the rebel ringleaders: Samuel Adams and John Hancock. However, when these soldiers arrived at Lexington there were colonial Minute Men and they were ordered to disperse. Unfortunately, when some people did not leave fast enough, the British fired into the horde. In the end there were eight colonists dead. And there were more Minute Men in Concord and left three hundred casualties. The American Revolution began.
