| In 1961, he was appointed Vice-President of the Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do Association, headed by Grandmaster Hwang Kee. In 1967-68, he was the Chief Master Instructor of Korean, US, and Vietnamese Special Forces. In 1969, through the urging of Dale Droulliard, Grandmaster Kim came to the United States. Since then, Grandmaster Kim has founded the World Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do Federation, with ties throughout the United States, Europe, South Africa, and Asia. Now located in Brandon, Florida, at the World Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do Federation Headquarters, Grandmaster Kim is still promoting Tang Soo Do after fifty-seven years. He is one of the highest ranking Tang Soo Do masters in the world. He still teaches, and enjoys teaching children the art of Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do to start them on their journey in the martial arts.
