Now that you know the meter is operational , set the films ASA speed on the main dial.
Below we can see that the ASA was previously set to 800 , but by turning the centre adjuster you can go up or down in ASA numbers.

Now we can see that it is set to our new film speed of 200 ASA.
Select what is suitable for your film.
You will only ever to need change this dial if you load a film with a different ASA rating.

Now using your thumbnail catch the silver peg on the lense F setting ring and move that around ,forward or back so that the red arrow (triangle) is pointing toward the correct F number which corresponds to your lenses wide open aperture.
The standard Kiev60 lense is F2.8 , so thats what I've set it to here.
But remember .... if you change to a tele lense for example you will most likely need to set this ring up again to suit the new F number.

This completes the set-up of the meter.
This is usually the most misunderstood part of using the meter.

Next we will take some light readings ....
