At this stage we had so much grease all over our hands and getting
everywhere that it was decided to skip the photos and concentrate a
little more on cleaning the parts first and then take the pix later.
Lenses are not old farm machinery that need grease covering all parts
from the top to the bottom.
The thread shown here only needs a small amount of lube to work
smoothly.
If its oozing - its WAYYYY too much !
When putting it all back together a little grease will move all over
the thread and will be enough to do the job.
So thats the last picture we have of the disassembly.
The following ones were taken after all parts were cleaned up and the
lens was actually being put back together but I have presented them in
a disassembling order.
Keep this in mind when looking at the next pictures as these ones show
the ¨minimum¨ level of cleanliness that should be aimed for
when working on lenses.
If only K####amera had such high standards ..... !
