Chris's AGI
Website-http://www.agigames.com/- A great
site where AGI users can talk together through forms, AGI fan games,
and AGI editing utilities.
The
Ultimate AGI and SCI Website-http://www.classicgaming.com/agisci-
A very great site for AGI utilities, AGI fan games, AGI and SCI
patches, and much, much more!
The AGI Development
Website-http://www.agidev.com/- A fine
site where you can find the NAGI interpreter and tutorials on how to
make your own AGI game.
The SCI Studio Website-http://www.bripro.com/scistudio/index.php-
The site to find SCI Studio: the program that allows you to create
SCI games. SCI is another interpreter used by Sierra from 1989-1998
that has changed over time. The editor however supports the oldest
SCI games, but they have much better graphics and sounds than AGI,
but the scripting is much more difficult.
Zelda
Classic-http://www.zeldaclassic.com- On this site people have
made a clone of the original The Legend of Zelda for the NES on the
computer. It started as a limited clone but now it is very
customizable with an editor that has many extra features and items
from other Zelda games such as the hookshot.
AGS
(Adventure Game Studio)-http://www.bigbluecup.com-
The site of the game engine for more powerful games than AGI and
SCI. If you have played KQ1 OR KQ2 VGA, then you know what it can do.
AGD
Interactive-http://www.agdinteractive.com- The site of where you
can find KQ1 and 2 VGA. It also shows more about the games and
screenshots of them.
Frieve Music Studio Producer-http://www.frieve.com/english/musicstd/musicstd.html-
This site is where I found a fairly good MIDI sequencer and its
free!
Pete's QBASIC Site-http://www.petesqbsite.com-
This is one of the best sites for stuff related to QuickBASIC and
QBASIC.
Sierra Entertainment-http://www.sierra.com-
The official site of Sierra!
FreeBasic-http://www.freebasic.net- For those who want to
program more modern programs for Windows and don't want to mess
around with C, then this is perfect. FreeBasic is a version of basic
based off of QuickBasic for 32-bit operating systems such as
Windows, Protected Mode MS-DOS, and Linux. It can also use many of
the popular C libraries such as SDL, OpenGL, Allegro, etc.
DosBox-http://dosbox.sourceforge.net- If you have problems
running older dos games on newer computers, this dos emulator
usually can help. However, if you plan on running a protected-mode
MS-DOS game from around the mid-90s, you better have a very fast
computer. When I ran KGI in it, it ran about as fast as a 486
machine. Also the emulator expects you to know the basic knowledge
of Dos.
