Congratulations on your pregnancy and your wisdom in considering a homebirth! I'm glad you found me. I will provide your prenatal care, attend you at your birth, and also provide postpartum care through at least the sixth week after your baby is born.
I have completed the PEP process through the North American Registry of Midwives, have passed my NARM skills and written exams. As a result, I have achieved Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and am a Registered Midwife in the State of Colorado.
As of August 2007, I've attended 120+ births, primarily homebirths in Colorado and Ohio, but also some hospital births and many births at a birth center in West Africa. I have served as primary midwife for over 60 of the families with whom I've worked. |

I consider it my job to provide prenatal care that helps to ensure a safe, healthy birth for both mother and baby, birth care that is gentle and wise so that you complete the journey safely, and postpartum care that carries you successfully into motherhood with a healthy baby. This is your pregnancy and your birth, though, and it is not my job to tell you how to birth. The following quote from a former client sums it up nicely: "What really attracted me to using you was how knowledgeable you were and how comfortable you made me feel. Also, the fact that you were so willing to support me in whatever my choices were for my child's birth."
