We will accept Blue Jeans!! WE CANNOT ACCEPT: Short-sleeved clothing Clothing that is stained, faded, peeled or has tears, broken zippers, missing buttons, etc. Clothing that not from a smoke-free environment Adult clothing Out-of-date styles Used underwear or socks (only NEW/unopened packages) Toys that are broken or have missing pieces Bedding Car seats more than 5 years old Any recalled items (check for recalls at 1-800-424-9393) Clothing marked S, M, L (please estimate the corresponding size) OUR MINIMUM NUMBER OF ITEMS IS 15. SELLER # We are now assigning numbers for the Fall and Winter 2009 sale. If you are a NEW CONSIGNOR, please click here...you will be assigned a number shortly. If you are a RETURNING CONSIGNOR, please click here...if you have not registered online, you will be asked to create a user name and password which will be necessary as you enter your items into inventory and as you check your sales online. Initially, your password will be the last 4 digits of the phone number we have on file for you or the 4 letters, NOWN (for "unknown"). PAYMENT You will receive 65% of your selling price -- A $7.00 seller's fee will be deducted from your check. TAGS Kids Carousel has adopted a convenient system using inventory control and barcoding. You will be able to print your tags at your own computer. MUST BE PRINTED ON WHITE CARDSTOCK! To begin printing your tags: 1 - Gather your items together by gender and size. 2 - Sign into our convenient online portal to begin generating your tags. Sign in here. 3 - Enter the information into the blanks shown. 4 - Make sure you price your items in 50-cent increments (for pricing guidelines, see below.) 5 - Check the ink in your printer to make sure that the tags and barcodes will print correctly. 6 - Enjoy watching your tags being printed in the convenience of your own home! NOTE: Please make sure that you do not print on more than one side of a tag!! To attach your tags: Safety pin tag to garment on top right (see diagrams!!) In addition to the tag pinned to your garment, please put a piece of masking tape inside your clothing, with seller # only, on each item. Do this also for toys and other items. This will help us if a tag becomes lost. TAKE-IN NO APPOINTMENT IS NECESSARY for you to bring in your items. PRICING A good rule of thumb is: 1/3 of the NEW price for most items; or 1/4 or less of the new price for simple play clothes. You may also want to think about what you would pay for the item if you were buying it at Kids Carousel. Another source of comparison might be online auction sites. DO NOT think "yard sale" prices. Also, PLEASE consider marking your items for reduction on our discount days (50% off for 2 days, 75% for 1 day at the end of the sale). Better to sell an item at a lower price than to take it home. PINS Safety pins only! Please no straight pins, staples or small gold pins. SIZE Size all items exactly (no S, M, or L) HANGERS Hang all garments on hangers with hook facing left (like a question mark). Wire hangers work best!! The clothes slide on soft plastic and the hard plastic hangers break easier. Tag will go on top right, (as over the heart). Pants should be pinned at the waistband at the top of each side of the hanger. DO NOT fold over hanger. Two pieces sets should be pinned together and labeled TWO-PIECE. A limited number of hangers will be available at the sale site at the beginning of take-in. MASKING TAPE Masking tape with your seller number and item number of each item provides security - please place a piece inside the collar or waist of garments and on other items, as well. SHOES Limit 5 of your BEST pair of shoes (Size 5 toddler & up). Tie shoes together with ribbon or string. Place masking tape with your seller # and item # inside shoes. No shoes in boxes or plastic bags. TOYS Batteries MUST be included in toys requiring them or we can not sell. Secure small pieces in Ziploc bags & label with masking tape/seller #. Secure tags inside bag or tape outside of large items. We will accept only seasonal stuffed animals or well known characters (Disney, Nickelodeon, etc.). PICKUP You may pick up your unsold items following the conclusion of each sale. Your items will be grouped together for pickup. Please know your seller's # before you arrive. ANY items left after 6:00 PM will be donated to charity. PLEASE DO NOT CALL AFTER THAT TIME. If you would like us to mail your check to you, please bring a self-addressed stamped envelope to us on drop-off day and it will be mailed within a few weeks. |
