Admissions

Kids Can Do, Inc. welcomes all children up to twelve years old.

Therapy Programs: All children with a referral letter must undergo a scheduled initial evaluation.

Academic Programs: All applicants will be screened and shall undergo an interview and assessment to determine class placement. The non-refundable registration fee along with the application form should be submitted before the deadline. Admissions may be granted anytime during the year if there are vacancies in the group level.

Responsibility: Child Care and Safety

Therapy and Academic Programs: We will be responsible for your child once they enter the clinic and classrooms. The child should be under close adult supervision while waiting for their time. Children must be fetched on time. You must also inform the clinic if there will be changes during pick-up time or of caregiver. Secure an ID or gate pass.

Strictly one caregiver/parent is allowed in the clinic when children are below 2 years old. Otherwise, caregivers must wait in the waiting area. Part of your child's learning is to teach him independence and self-reliance. Parents and caregivers are allowed to observe the class or join therapy session/s from time to time.

Reports

Class reports are included in the tuition fee and are given twice a year. There is an additional PhP150 fee for therapy progress reports.

Parent Involvement

We value the family as an integral part of a child's development, so a monthly calendar of activities from the teachers will be sent home for follow-up. Notebooks serve as communication between parent/s and teacher/therapists. Therapists may also call parents from time to time or request a parent conference when necessary. Parent-teacher-therapist conference fee is PhP400/hr per professional. There is also an additional fee for the report.

Attendance

Regular attendance is required for all children. Parents must take full responsibility in informing the clinic or their therapists that they will be absent. A notification through text messaging must be confirmed by the other party. Please call as early as 8 am or at least 6 hours before your time. A no show or no notification therapy fee (P400) will be charged to your account upon failure to comply with this policy.

The clinic informs parents and automatically cancels your child's slot when:

- The child has been absent for 3 consecutive sessions
- The child's attendance is erratic
- The child does not make-up for lost sessions

*Illness and death in the family are considered excused absences. If you wish to resume therapy after three weeks of absence, you must undergo re-evaluation.

Make-up

In case your therapist or teacher is absent or on leave, the clinic will assign another therapist/teacher to handle your child, if possible. Moreover, make-up for absences in therapy is encouraged to ensure optimal progress in your child. No make-up classes will be given for children enrolled in classes.

Tardiness

When the child comes late in therapy, he will be treated the remaining time of his session. It is the decision of the therapist to extend the time if the schedule permits. On the other hand, when the therapist is late, the therapist must complete the full hour or take a re-schedule.

Suspension of Sessions or Classes

Classes are suspended during typhoon signal #1. Parents may call the clinic if therapy sessions are suspended as well.

Re-evaluation

Therapists usually perform a re-evaluation every 3 or 6 months. We also recommend a check-up with your doctor.
