Child Therapy

We provide occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech and language therapy for children with special needs. Sessions are usually held one-on-one and can last for an hour. A child must undergo an initial evaluation on the first meeting and the frequency of sessions is based on the results of the evaluation (once or twice a week). A program may last for 3 months or 6 months depending on the child's condition and progress. The parents must bring a referral letter from a developmental pediatrician or teacher.

Creative Movement and Music

The small classes are usually handled by our licensed physical therapist. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to join the children. The program combines neuro-developmental and sensory integration approaches and uses structured and unstructured play to facilitate attention, motor planning, coordination, social, advanced motor development, and self-confidence.

Bright Start (3.1 - 4.0 years old)

FIRST FOCUS Special Education

The SpEd program is handled by our SpEd teacher. This program for children with special needs includes academic readiness, self-care, art, cooking, concept development, pre-reading, pre-writing, and pre-math. Sessions are one-on-one or in classes of 3. The program entails an assessment on the first meeting and a quarterly re-assessment by phone or a parent conference. Sessions can be daily, once or twice a week, or an entire school year for an hour or 1.5 hours depending on the child's program. An individualized education plan (IEP) is provided and tailored to the needs of your child. We also consider developmental levels during placement and eventual mainstreaming.
