Roland Summit is a clinical associate professor of
psychiatry at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He has been the
community psychiatrist to the South Bay area of Los
Angeles County since 1966, specializing exclusively in
child sexual abuse since 1975. He was assigned the role
of county Department of Mental Health Liaison to the
community of Manhattan Beach in the wake of the 1983-84
epidemic of preschool abuse allegations.
